There is a one year funded position for a brachytherapy fellowship available at the Radiation-Oncology Department of CHU de Québec. The candidate should be able to perform history and physical exam of mostly French speaking breast and prostate patients. The candidate will be exposed to and learn the technique of permanent seeds implant for breast cancer patients. For prostate cancer patients, the candidate will be exposed to and learn both technique of permanent seeds and non-permanent (HDR) implant. The candidate will also be involved in research project in breast and prostate brachytherapy. The CHU de Québec is an internationally known brachytherapy centre and just celebrated the 20th anniversary of its prostate brachytherapy program by the inauguration of a new brachytherapy integrated suite in May 2014.
The candidate should certified by the Royal College of Physician of Canada in Radiation Oncology or its equivalent. The candidate must speak French in order to manage patient. The position is funded with an annual salary of $70 000 including marginal benefits.
